Precision as Principle™
Innovation Rooted in Musical Truth
CH Precision was founded on a simple but uncompromising conviction: that the truest connection to music begins with engineering of the highest integrity. From the outset, Florian Cossy recognized that this required looking beyond convention, rejecting the compromises that so often separate technical design from musical truth. At CH, every circuit, every line of code, every mechanical element is conceived in-house with a singular purpose—to serve the performance, not the spec sheet.
This philosophy gave rise to a culture of invention, sustained by a team whose expertise spans analog and digital circuits, software architecture, and mechanical design. It is this multi-disciplinary foundation that allows us to merge the finest analog topologies with the adaptability of software-driven control, all within a modular architecture that evolves with the listener’s journey. Each product is conceived to stand as a reference in its own right, yet also to grow—whether through firmware refinements, hardware upgrades, or the progression toward true dual-mono configurations.
In this way, precision becomes more than an engineering discipline. It becomes a principle of respect: respect for the music, for the listener, and for an investment that will never be diminished by obsolescence. It is our identity, our promise, and our pursuit—innovation in service of music, for today and for the years to come.

Inventing What Music Demands
At CH Precision, we do not build products simply to fill categories; we build only where we know we can advance the state of the art. Our ethos is to challenge convention, re-examine every assumption, and design only when we can create something that redefines its field. This restraint is deliberate. It reflects our belief that every CH component must justify its existence not by market demand, but by its ability to move the standard of musical reproduction forward.
To achieve this, every product—whether digital, analog, or mechanical—is conceived from the ground up as a reference instrument. From software architecture and digital conversion to amplification stages, power supplies, and mechanical design, every critical element is conceived and executed in-house. This independence is not indulgence; it is necessity. By mastering each discipline within our own walls, we ensure that nothing compromises our singular goal: to elevate the musical experience.
Living by that principle means refusing the industry’s habit of clinging to “pet ideas” or favored theories. Too often, technologies are adopted as articles of faith, embraced without evidence, and pursued for their own sake rather than their relevance to music. At CH, we reject that leap. No solution is assumed, and no technology is accepted until it has been tested, explored, and proven against the one measure that matters: does it bring the listener closer to the immediacy, coherence, and truth of the musical event? This willingness to test every premise—established or experimental—creates an environment where invention arises not by chance, but by disciplined design. When existing answers fall short, we create our own, developing solutions that are proprietary to CH and unique within high-end audio.

Unique Solutions, Singular Focus
The results of our culture are as concrete as they are distinctive. At CH Precision, inventions are not abstract theories but tangible solutions that redefine what is possible in high-end audio.
ExactBias™ maintains real-time bias with a stability unattainable by conventional methods. Software-regulated global feedback preserves transparency while ensuring control. Proprietary capacitors, discrete supply topologies, and advanced grounding schemes create electrically silent environments where music can emerge unimpeded. In the digital realm, spline filters minimize pre- and post-ringing, while our PEtER conversion algorithm preserves the integrity and timing of every sample. In mechanics, the MORSE transport mechanism redefines stability and isolation for disc playback, extracting data with precision unmatched in high-end audio.
An unrequited hunger for precision—entirely in the service of music—guides every invention at CH Precision. It is a culture where no detail is too small to be examined, refined, and resolved with absolute care, and where every solution exists for one purpose alone: to bring the listener closer to the truth of music.

Progression Without Obsolescence
At CH Precision, we believe that true precision extends beyond performance into longevity. Technology will always evolve, but an investment in music should never be diminished by obsolescence. That conviction is embodied in our modular architecture—designed so that performance can be elevated step by step, without ever discarding what came before.
Each CH product is conceived first as a state-of-the-art solution in its own right. A C1.2 DAC, an L1 Line Stage, a D1.5 Transport—every component is engineered to deliver reference-level performance as a stand-alone instrument. Yet each has also been designed with the foresight to grow, adapting to the aspirations or needs of the listener. A single-chassis product can evolve into a dual-mono configuration. A DAC can be enhanced with additional processing power or refined through external master clocking. A transport can be elevated with dedicated supplies. Firmware updates deliver new features, while hardware modules unlock higher performance—all without undermining the original purchase.
This approach ensures that every upgrade adds to, rather than replaces, what is already there. It reflects more than engineering foresight; it reflects our values. By creating products that serve both as definitive solutions and as platforms for growth, we respect the customer’s investment, the integrity of the music, and the resources required to build instruments of this caliber. In an industry where obsolescence is too often assumed, CH Precision chooses a different path—one of continuity, progression, and trust.

The Time Domain as Truth
At CH Precision, musical fidelity begins with time. Harmony, dynamics, and spatial detail lose meaning when the temporal structure of a performance is blurred. The human ear is acutely sensitive to microsecond-level timing cues, and preserving that accuracy is essential to recreating music as a living event.
This principle guides every design choice. Our proprietary PEtER Spline Filters minimize pre- and post-ringing to preserve transient integrity and musical flow, while our DACs employ R-2R ladder resistors fabricated on a single silicon substrate to ensure uniform geometry, thermal tracking, and precise timing. Each solution is engineered to protect the time domain where it is most fragile.
To extend this precision further, we developed the T1 and T10 Master Clocks. Built around ultra-low-phase-noise OCXOs disciplined by an all-digital PLL, they achieve time-domain stability unmatched by conventional word clocks—maintaining precise alignment even when a transport is introduced.
For CH Precision, the time domain is a first principle. Musical realism depends on it, and no amount of resolution or tonal refinement can compensate when temporal accuracy is lost. Preserving time with absolute precision preserves the essential truth of music itself.

Mechanical Precision
At CH Precision, we regard mechanical design with the same seriousness as circuits or software. However refined an electrical design may be, its performance can be undermined by mechanical interference. Microphonic effects—vibrations induced into sensitive circuits—blur detail, elevate noise, and erode the natural flow of music. To address this, CH has developed a uniquely sophisticated approach to mechanical grounding, one that provides a diode-like exit path for deleterious energy, draining vibration away from the signal path while preventing its return.
Inside each chassis, carefully tuned internal damping ensures that structural resonances are suppressed at the source, while external mechanical interfaces channel unwanted energy into controlled pathways. These solutions are not add-ons; they are fundamental to our designs, integrated as deeply as any amplification stage or digital module. The result is an operating environment of stability and silence, where the most fragile musical information can be preserved.
This philosophy culminates in MORSe (D1.5) and the MORSE (D10) Disc Transport Mechanisms—mechanical architectures that completely redefine stability and isolation for optical playback. Where most manufacturers rely on mass-produced mechanisms designed for commodity applications and simply integrate them into high-priced products, CH Precision engineered MORSE entirely in-house. With mass, balance, and damping optimized to unprecedented levels, MORSE is not merely a transport but a precision instrument, extracting data with a consistency and freedom from interference never before possible. In mechanical as in electrical design, CH Precision refuses to compromise, treating every source of error as an opportunity for invention—always in service of the music.
The Swiss Ethos of Craftsmanship
At CH Precision, engineering is only part of the equation. However advanced a design may be, its value depends on the precision of its execution. Craftsmanship is what transforms an idea into a product that endures—sonically, mechanically, and aesthetically. Every surface, interface, and tolerance reflects the same discipline applied to our engineering, ensuring nothing compromises the integrity of the whole.
This commitment is distinctly Swiss. We work closely with specialist manufacturing partners whose expertise is deeply integrated into our process—often using tooling and methods developed in collaboration with CH Precision. Assembly, testing, and final quality control are completed in-house, maintaining a continuous chain of accountability from concept through completion.
True value is measured not by price, but by longevity. Mechanically inert enclosures, thermally stable architectures, and power supplies of exceptional scale are designed to safeguard performance over decades of service. Here, craftsmanship extends beyond finish and fit—it becomes the foundation of reliability, trust, and lasting precision.

Precision as Principle
At CH Precision, every product begins with a question: how can we serve the music more faithfully than has ever been achieved before? Answering that question demands more than refinement; it requires invention. Our team brings expertise across analog and digital circuits, software architecture, power supply design, and mechanical engineering, integrating disciplines that in most companies are divided or outsourced. This multi-disciplinary approach ensures that no assumption goes unchallenged, and no solution is adopted until it proves itself in the one domain that matters—the listener’s experience of music.
From this culture flow proprietary solutions found nowhere else in high-end audio. They are not borrowed modules or fashionable theories, but original technologies conceived and executed in-house to overcome limits that convention cannot. Each is created to protect the integrity of the musical signal at its most fragile stages, ensuring that realism and emotional connection remain intact.
Because our designs are rooted in this ethos, they are conceived not as fixed objects but as living platforms. Modularity allows each component to evolve—through hardware expansion, firmware refinements, or system-level configurations—so that listeners can deepen their experience without discarding their original investment. This is not simply an architecture; it is the natural extension of a philosophy that unites invention, engineering discipline, and long-term respect for the listener. It is not just how we engineer. It is who we are.
